CIHS 2011 promotes product innovations
Event boosted by more international participation

Product innovations is set to be one of the highlights at this year’s China International Hardware Show (CIHS) in Shanghai.

Show organizers have spared no expense with a judging panel comprising of industry experts who will critique based on design, functionality and innovativeness of the products on exhibit. Outstanding creations will be featured and honored at a substantial 300-square-meter Innovative Products Zone. This special feature of high-quality hardware products aims to help buyers improve their sourcing efficiency in screening suitable manufacturers.

Apart from that, the general product segmentation within CIHS will be further enhanced for the convenience of exhibitors and visitors alike. In particular, the Security Products; Molds & Abrasives; and Locks zones are slated to receive a breath of fresh air with new elements and stronger product lineups.

For the first time in 2011, CIHS has won the support of top global trade body, the European DIY Retail Association (EDRA) which represents 90 major home improvement retailers in 50 countries worldwide. This endorsement signifies a major leap in recognition by a prominent worldwide industry body and is expected to inject fresh interest from more overseas visitors.

With the continuing economic boom, buyers from China and the region are also be expected to turn up once again in full force to purchase products which can satisfy surging domestic demand.  Pre-registration figures reveal stronger interest than ever from local traders and retailers. Benefiting from this development are overseas manufacturers exhibiting at CIHS, including the Association of German Tool Manufacturers (FWI) which will be leading a group of 13 exhibitors to Shanghai this year.

CIHS 2011 as the industry’s showpiece event in China will present more than 2,400 exhibitors from around 20 countries and regions, occupying over 115,000 square-meters of floor space. Global hardware buyers will be able to source products from a large number of established and emerging local Chinese manufacturers, as well as from key foreign suppliers from all over the world.

Over 35,000 trade visitors from 85 countries are expected, including once again representatives from all leading hardware retailers and sourcing houses worldwide.
